Grant Preston
Funeral Director
Grant Preston has been involved in the funeral industry since 1991, when he joined his parents after they purchased the funeral home in Mountainair and Moriarty, NM. What began as a temporary role quickly turned into a lifelong calling, and this October marks 34 years of service to the community.
In 1994, Grant pursued his passion for funeral service at The Dallas Institute of Funeral Services. After earning his degree, he returned to Harris Hanlon Mortuary, where he has remained committed to supporting families with care and compassion.
Grant and his wife, Karen Linda Preston, married in 1999 and have built a beautiful family together, including five children and 14 grandchildren. Today, he is honored to work alongside two of his sons, Jordin and Gracin, continuing the family tradition in funeral service. It is an absolute pleasure to see full circle from my father
Larry Guy Preston to both my sons. What a blessing it’s been. As I go forward, I love the idea
of working every day with my boy’s serving families of the East Mountains.
A fun fact about Grant – he is an identical twin and has a deep love for the outdoors. Whether it's hunting, fishing, or simply being in nature, he finds joy in the simple moments outside.
