Trelma Oleta Elliott

Trelma Oleta Elliott, 94, passed October 26 2025 at home in Stanley New Mexico.

She was born February 2nd 1931 in Anadarko Oklahoma to the late Frank and Georgia (Gray) Barbee. Trelma was a graduate of Floyd New Mexico Highschool in 1950. She married Wayne Elliott in 1951. They were longtime residents of the Estancia Valley lovingly working together on their farm. Sewing, gardening, and canning were some of her skills as a homemaker. She was known for feeding family, friends, farmhands and visitors with her good cooking. Many meals included homemade ice cream and rhubarb pie. She had a beautiful alto voice and loved to sing praises to God. Jesus Christ was Trelma's Lord and Savior. Her desire was to be a faithful servant of God.Trelma is survived by her sons, Gerald and wife Rosemary, Charles, George and wife Aimee, Walter and her daughter Barbara Chavez and husband David; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and brother Lester Barbee. Trelma was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayne, and son Clifton. Also preceding her in death were 3 sisters and 7 brothers. The funeral will be held at Moriarty Church of Christ Saturday November 8th at 11:00am.
