In Loving Memory of Theresa Chacon “Nana” Theresa Chacon, lovingly known as Nana, age 71 and a lifelong resident of Estancia, New Mexico, was called home to Heaven on September 20, 2026. On that day, she gained her wings, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, who were by her side. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Chavez and Cippy Chavez; her husband, Perfecto Chacon; her son, Joseph Lascano; her siblings, Romie, Marcy, Viola, Angie, Pauline, Sandra, Anthony, and Loraine; and her brother-in-law, Vence Sandoval. 

She is survived by her children: Manuel Lascano; son-in-law Chad Parks; Estella and José Chaparro; Vickie Lascano; and Andrea and Richard Gonzales. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Chavez, Anita Armendariz, and Rosie Espinoza. Her grandchildren include Gabriel and Louisa Massey, Michael Ray and Sara Lascano, Chelsea and Bobby Chacon, José Jr. Chaparro, Daleth Chaparro, Alejandra and Omar Chaparro, and Bethany Martinez. She was blessed with many great-grandchildren, including Ezra Chacon, Enzo Chacon, Sammy, Khai and Rowan Massey, Nate, Jon, and Jay Lascano She is also survived by her forever son-in-law, Jerod Massey; her brother- and sister-in-law, Joe and Jonel Chavez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who loved her dearly. Theresa was loved by so many. 

She was a mother and Nana to more people than we could ever count. She was the life of every gathering, always bringing high spirits, joy, and laughter that could light up an entire room. She filled the hearts of those around her with love, laughter, kindness, and generosity. Her greatest passions were music, dancing, cooking, and, most of all, being surrounded by her family and loved ones. Theresa was also known for her kind and giving heart. She was the woman who would open her home to anyone in need and help others, even if it meant giving her very last dollar. She never hesitated to make someone feel welcome, loved, and cared for. She was a truly remarkable woman with a beautiful soul and an even greater heart. Her presence brought warmth and happiness wherever she went, and the memories she created will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Gone too soon, but she will never be forgotten.
