Mona Jo Harris

Mona Jo Harris of Moriarty, New Mexico passed away peacefully in Albuquerque on Sunday, August 4th, 2024, just a few days before her 86th birthday. 

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Lloyd and Johnnie Williams, husband Grady Joe McNabb, husband Delbert Eugene Harris, son Jeffory Mark McNabb, sister Linda Fischer, and step-son Richard Harris.

She is survived by her son Rick McNabb and wife Donna, grandson Jonathon McNabb and wife Laila, brothers Larry Williams, Gary Williams and wife Vickie, sisters Sandy Rosenbaum and Debbie Williams, step daughter Tauna Hughes and husband Dean, step son Bill Harris, grandson Jay Mossman and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mona grew up in Moriarty, New Mexico and graduated from Moriarty High School. She was a bookkeeper and business owner who over the years resided in Farmington, New Mexico; Las Cruces, New Mexico; Fairbanks Alaska and Anchorage Alaska. She retired in Moriarty and lived in Albuquerque until her passing.

Mona was always happy when family came to visit. She would be waiting for you on the porch the moment you arrived. She was a loving mom and grandma to her children and grandchildren. She was also a caring aunt to her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed many close friendships in her life. She went on many adventures that took her all across the United States and through Canada. She had a strong work ethic that she no doubt learned from her father and mother. She spent the last four years of her life at Willowwood Assisted Living in Albuquerque where she was surrounded by many loving and caring people.

Family and friends are welcome to join us as we spend time reflecting on her life this Saturday August 10th, 11AM at Mountain View Cemetery, 1343 Martinez Rd in Moriarty, New Mexico.
