It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Margarita (Margie) Martina Garcia, who passed away on May 26, 2026 at the age of 73 years old.

Born on October 20, 1952, Margie was a longtime resident of Moriarty, New Mexico. She lived a fulfilling life marked by love, strength and devotion to her family. She touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity and unwavering care for all of those around her.

Margie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (grammy), great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She cherished the time spent with her family. Her warm smile and loving heart will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Isidro Garcia; son JoseDeLaCruz Isidro Garcia; Daughters Lisa Marie Garcia, Audra Jean Garcia, Erica Ann Williams, son in law Justin Williams; sister Sylvia Mercure and brother in law Delfine Mercure. Margie has 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Margie was preceded in death by her daughter Michelle Apodaca, parents Vidal and Sylvia Maestas and Jose and Manuelita Martinez, brother Jose Martinez and sister Clorinda Sanchez

Though our hearts are heavy we take comfort in the memories she has left behind. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and the family and friends she loved so deeply.

Please join us in honoring Margie’s life on Saturday June 20th, 2026 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Moriarty, New Mexico. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 am with Mass and burial to follow.
