Marjorie Ann Cozzen, 85 passed away September 17th, 2026, at home in Columbia Falls, MT with her daughter Teri, Son-in-law Michael and granddaughter Megan by her side. Marjorie was born in Claunch, NM on March 26, 1941 to Charlie and Ida Wade. She graduated from Corona High School in 1960.
Marjorie met Jerry her husband of 63 years in Tularosa, NM, where he frequented the diner, she was working at ordering a tall glass of buttermilk and a long-handled spoon. She married Jerry L. Cozzen on July 1st 1960, in Claunch, NM. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Jerry and Marjorie lived in many communities throughout New Mexico before moving to Anchorage, Alaska in 1978. While living in Alaska they enjoyed fishing, four wheeling and camping in their Motorhome.
Marjorie was the “Lunch Lady” at East Park Christian School in Anchorage for many years where she was loved by many. She was in charge of the kitchen and helped her sister -in- law Nancy Cozzen with the Food Bank at the Eagle River Church of God in Eagle River, Alaska.
Marjorie was a gifted hostess who loved to entertain and could throw a party like no other. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She always made room for one more at the table and could make a meal out of next to nothing. While Daddy was Guns and Leather, Mom was Crystal and Lace. (But don’t be mistaken, she was a Crack Shot.)
After 31 years in Alaska, Jerry and Marjorie moved back to Claunch, NM. in September of 2009. Where they lived happily for 14 years. It is no secret how much they loved living in Claunch among their friends and New Mexico family. She loved her kids, grandkids and all her family.
Marjorie was a devoted Christian. She loved the Lord and was faithful. Her and Jerry were members of the Eagle River Church of God in AK, Claunch Community Church in NM and attended the Valley Community Church of God in Kalispell, MT.
