Louis Arena, 90 of Rio Rancho, New Mexico passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 7th, 2024. Louie was born January 3, 1934, in Hagen, New Mexico to Lorenzo and Bessie Arena. Louie was a kind-hearted, most loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, Godfather and Friend.
He is preceded in death by his Wife of 51 years, Rosalie Arena. They were married June 7th, 1959, at Five Wounds Catholic Church in San Jose, CA. He is survived by his Son, Louis Anthony Arena(David), Daughter, Christina Dominguez( Jacob), Grandsons, Patrick Christopher Montaño (Bubbs) (Stevie), Nicholas Montaño(Nico) (Danielle), Noah Montaño (Savanna ), Great-Grandchildren, Marcus Reese-Montaño, Charisma Montaño, Azarius Montaño, Jayden Montaño, Jaxson Montaño, Brother Lorenzo Arena, Brother-in-law, Tony Cortez(Sandy),Sister-in laws Kyoko Cortez, Cha Cortez and several Cousins, Nephews, Nieces, and Godchildren.
He is also preceded in death by his Parents, Lorenzo and Bessie Arena, Siblings, Molly Hiler, Pete Arena, David Arena, Paula Trimble, Sam Arena and Sisto Arena.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 16th at 1pm. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30pm, with the Mass of the Resurrection at 2pm, all will be celebrated at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1001 Meteor Ave NE Rio Rancho, NM 87144, with Fr. Scott Mansfield officiating. Pallbearers will be Patrick C. Montaño, Nicholas Montaño, Noah Montaño, Marcus Montaño, Jeannie Sanchez, Emma Camarena. Honorary Pallbearers will be Victor Loya, Troy Moore, Leonard Sanchez and Leandre Moreno-Chavez Please join us to celebrate the life of Louie Arena. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM
