April 5, 1959 - December 10, 2022 Louie H. Anaya was born to Filandro and Stella Anaya and was called home on December 10th, 2022. He spent his whole life near his family, residing in Moriarty, NM. He is preceded in death by his sister Celestina Anaya and his father Filandro Anaya. He is survived by his mother Stella, son Louie and wife Jessica, daughter Stephanie and husband Daniel, grandchildren Eloise and Matthew, and his loyal dog Foxleigh. As well as his siblings: Carmen, Freddy, Lloyd and wife Lucille, Joanne, Diane and husband Steve, Phil and wife Odie, Danny and wife Janet, and Kristen and husband Jesus. He also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Louie served his community in many ways throughout his life including many years as a member of the Moriarty Fire Department alongside his Uncles Ralph and Carlos. He took after his Father Filandro in trade skills and offered a hand to all, without hesitation, and never asked for anything in return. Louie was a gentle and loving man who never knew a stranger and befriended all of God’s creatures. He had a beautiful sense of humor and loved to fish, garden, build/fix things, and cook (among his specialties were chicharones, brisket, and most notably- jerky). We are left with a huge void in our hearts and will be honoring his life on December 30, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church with a Rosary at 10 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 am. Pallbearers are Adam Milton, Andrew Milton, Donald Montano, and Briana Montano.
