John W. Grossl, 68, breathed his last Saturday, May 24, 2025 after enduring chronic pain from severing his wrist to the bone when it went through a window in high school when he was 17.
Through much hard work, he became a Quality Control Manager for Rockwell and MacDonnell Douglas in Columbus Ohio overseeing the production of 100 B-1 bombers, the C-17 cargo planes, and installation of the heat shield tiles on the space shuttles. He also worked at Howmet Castings in LaPorte, Indiana for several years.
He loved fishing, hunting, decorative wood working, his wife Robin of nearly 50 years, daughter Misty, and many faithful canine companions.
After retiring, he spent his later years in the Land of Enchantment (New Mexico) enjoying the resident wild life.
He was grateful for his devoted friends who inspired, encouraged, and supported him throughout the painful years of his life! May he rest in peace and comfort.
