Isaiah Diego Sanchez

May 29, 2001 — November 17, 2022

Isaiah Diego Sanchez, lifelong resident of Tajique, NM, 21, rode through heavens gates on Thursday, November 17, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving family in Phoenix, AZ as he galloped into Gods Country. Isaiah, “Lil’guy”, was born to Brian and Emily Sanchez on May 29, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his devoted parents; his loving sister and brother in law, Cassandra (Sanchez) and Luis Quiñones; his brother and best friend, Dominic Sanchez; his nephews, Luis and Giovanni and his niece, Allyanna; his grandma, Carmen Sanchez and grandpa Johnny Benavidez; grandpa, Arthur Mahboub; great nana, Eslinda Sanchez; many uncles, aunts, cousins and so many close friends. Isaiah’s life on this earth was brief but his imprint on all those that knew him will sustain us. Isaiah never met a stranger and lit up every room he was in with a good ole story, warm hug, mischievous smile and genuine charm. He graduated from Estancia High School in 2018 and he was part of the Estancia Bears Baseball team. He then attended Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM before coming back home to the Family Ranch in Tajique, NM. Isaiah was a Heavy Equipment Operator with Torrance County for the last three years. Our Cowboy was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and roping were his greatest passions. He was a hunter through and through, since he was a lil’ guy hunting was a staple in his life, it could be hunting rabbits, coyotes, deer, elk bear, or even guiding, you name it, Isaiah was filled with a zealous desire to get ‘er done. We know that he is surely hunting in Heavens glorious land. In Roping, he always held on to the dream of that shiny buckle, heeling one calf at a time from the back of his horses, JD and Gypsy, chasing those white lines from one rodeo to another. Isaiah enjoyed golfing, fishing, dirt bikes, and without a doubt hanging out with his buddies, making noise, lockin’ hubs, burnin’ rubber, rollin’ coal, music loud and living like there was no tomorrow chasing the sun and racing the wind. We know all about his wild side but his amazing grace was one that we will forever hold onto. Life as we know it will never be the same but we carry his memory with us until we are reunited. Isaiah Diego Sanchez will ever be a love that his girlfriend, Elysia Baca, holds dear, their time together was cut short but their dreams they shared together and planned out will stay golden in her heart throughout time. Isaiah was preceded in death by his great tata, Diego Sanchez; his tata, Julian Sanchez; and his loving Grammy, Carolyn Lopez, great grandparents Alfonso Jose and Juinta Lucero. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 am at Estancia High School Gymnasium, 709 NW Hopewell St. with Pastor Adam Barela presiding. Interment will follow in the Sanchez Family Ranch Cemetery.
