Elizabeth Ann Blythe, 85, a longtime resident of Estancia, NM, passed away Sunday Feb. 8th, 2026 at home in Estancia, NM with her loving family beside her. She was born on Jan. 26th, 1941 in Roswell, NM to Vernon & Fay (Akin) Blythe.
Lizzy was the rock of her family, a great listener, and always enjoyed her family, friends and others who were only passing through. She enjoyed being a professional grandmother, a small business owner, and a caregiver.
Elizabeth returned to school in her 50’s to become a CNA & licensed hypo therapist, working with several hospice and home health companies in her career. She will forever be remembered as a Christ loving Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, & Friend who prayed for her loved ones daily.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by many friends including Dorothy, Marcy and Butch: her parents and one brother Sam William Blythe.
She is survived by two daughters Barbara Collins, Cindy Solomon, both of Estancia and one son, James V. and his wife Hope Solomon of Estancia, NM. She had six grandchildren; Melissa, James and wife Kelsey, Russell and wife Jaime, Tanner, Emilee and Jace, and seven great grandchildren; Elizabeth’s very best friend Sallie and special friends Donald, Cheyeanna.
Funeral services are as follows; Viewing Friday Feb. 13th, 2026 @ 10:00am to 11:00 am; funeral service @ 11:00am at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM with Chaplain Scott Devore officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountainair Cemetery in Mountainair, NM. Pallbearers will be James Collins, Russell Stockton, Tanner Solomon, Jace Solomon, Donald Chavez, and James Solomon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Granddaughters, Melissa, Emilee and Cheyeanna.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, including Nurses Andrea, Jenna, Monica and Dyane. Social Worker Sandra, and Chaplain Scott who showed exemplary care and love to our entire family.
