In Loving Memory of Eileen E. Martinez

(January 23, 1951 – August 11, 2026)

Eileen E. Martinez, 75, passed away after a courageous battle with thyroid cancer, leaving behind a family and community who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andy Martinez, parents Julian & June Baldonado and Granddaughter Maria Elena Martinez.

Eileen is survived by her Children: Lorieann Martinez, Karen Hendricks, Rebecca Martinez & Husband James Eversole and Adam Martinez & wife Katharine Martinez. Eileen was blessed with 11 Grandchildren: Albino Gallardo Jr, Esteban Gallardo, Javier Gallardo & wife Vanessa Duran, Jerry Hendricks & wife Jeanette Hendricks, Katlynn Moraga & husband Tim Moraga, Samantha Hendricks, Elaina Hendricks, Jazmin Eversole, Liam Martinez, Jacob Martinez and Nathan Martinez. She was also blessed with 6 Great-Grandchildren: Jayden, Jenna, Jaimelynn & Jameson Hendricks and Lucas & Emme Gallardo. As well as her brothers: Julian Baldonado Jr, Michael Baldonado & wife Virgina and Tommy Baldonado & wife Peggy.

Pallbearers will be Adam Martinez, Albino Gallardo Jr, Jerry Hendricks, Javier Gallardo, Samantha Hendricks and Elaina Hendricks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Esteban Gallardo, Katlynn Moraga, Jayden Hendricks, Jazmin Eversole, Liam Martinez, Jacob Martinez, Nathan Martinez, James Eversole, Tim Moraga and Julian Baldonado Jr.

Eileen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother sister and friend. Her belief in the Catholic faith was a profound part of her life. It gave her strength in difficult times, comfort in moments of need, and lasting hope. She believed in the power of prayer and the promise of eternal life.

Eileen found joy in the simple things that made life special; her family, her hobbies, her passions, the people and animals she loved. Her beloved dog, Charlie, was a cherished companion and an important part of her life.

Eileen shared many years of love and memories with her husband, Andy Martinez, who passed away in 2020. Their relationship was a beautiful example of endless enduring love. Those who know them will remember the bond they shared, and the family finds comfort in knowing that Eileen and Andy are together again.

To her family, Eileen was a source of love and countless treasured memories. From childhood traditions and family gatherings to everyday moments filled with laughter and joy. She helped create memories that will live on for generations.

Although her passing leaves an immense emptiness, her family takes comfort in knowing that Eileen is no longer suffering and is now at peace in God's loving care. Her faith, love, and memory will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Funeral Services

A Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Moriarty, NM, Friday Sept 4th at 10am.

The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Moriarty, NM, Friday Sept 4th at 11am.

Burial will be at the Martinez Cemetery, Edgewood, NM, Friday Sept 4th at 12pm.

The family is grateful to everyone who loved Eileen, supported her, prayed for her, and shared in her life.

May Eileen rest in eternal peace, reunited with Andy and held forever in God's loving arms.
