Edward Lopez

Edward Lopez, 69 a life long resident of Manzano, New Mexico, passed away on April 21, 2026. Edward was born December 6, 1956 in Manzano, NM to Richard  and Trinidad  (Garcia) Lopez.

Edward was a man known for his generous heart, hardworking spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. He was truly a “jack of all trades,” always ready to lend a hand, fix what needed repairing, or support family and friends without hesitation.

He had a love for sports, especially the NFL and boxing. He was a loyal fan of the Miami Dolphins and enjoyed following the game throughout his life. Above all, Edward lived a life rooted in faith and was fully devoted to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad Lopez and Richard Lopez; his brothers, Junior, Max, and David Lopez; his sister, Angie Lopez; and his nephew, Orlandito Lopez.

He is survived by his loving family: Nick Lopez, Larry Lopez, Michael Lopez, Thelma Griego, Martha Padilla, Delfhina Gabaldon-Garcia, Viola Smith, and Jamie Lopez, as well as many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory forever.

Edward’s kindness and giving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved and the countless lives he touched.

May Edward rest in eternal peace with our Heavenly Father.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows in Manzano, New Mexico: With the Rosary: Friday, May 1, 2026 at 7:00 PM; The Mass and Burial: Saturday, May 2 at 11:00 AM
