Donald Bert Freeman

March 10, 1958 — April 25, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we remember and honor the life of Donald Freeman, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Don's journey began on March 10, 1958, in Arizona, where he was born to Franklin Freeman and Josephine Repp. From the very beginning, it was clear that Don's life would be filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Don leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his loving wife, Laurel Freeman of Moriarty, who stood by his side until the very end. Don's daughter, Alexandra, will forever hold his memory close to her heart. In addition, he leaves behind two stepdaughters, Tina and Natalie, his brothers Jack, Frank, and Gene, and his sisters Dorothy, Barbara, and Kathryn. Several nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren. Don's fur babies, Bubbles and Cleopatra, were his constant companions and brought immeasurable joy to his life. Their unconditional love and playful spirits were a source of comfort and solace. As we remember Don's life, we also acknowledge the pain of his losses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine, who instilled in him values of compassion, resilience, and love. Don also bid farewell to his daughter, Constance, and his nephew, Nathan. Though their physical presence is no longer with us, their spirits will forever live on in our hearts. Don's unexpected passing on April 25, 2024, reminds us of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment. Today, Don's memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and his legacy will continue to inspire us to live each day to the fullest, just as he did. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to us all. A Memorial Service Saturday June 22, 2024 at 10:00 am at The Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM with Pastor Jason Boggan officiation. A reception will follow.
