Destenii Mykal Trujillo returned home to her Father in Heaven on July 18th, 2025. The world and her family were blessed when she was born on March 31ª, 1987. Born in Albuquerque and raised in Estanica, New Mexico, Destenii was a gifted athlete who played many sports; basketball, volleyball, and track. She graduated from Estancia High School in 2005. After high school, she pursued her passion in medical care and received her nursing degree from ITT Tech in 2014. She went on to help save lives as she worked as a registered nurse, a flight nurse and a travel nurse. Destenii was forever blessed with two wonderful children: Her daughter, Mykka, born in 2013 and son, Malik, born in 2022. Destenii was known for her strength and fierce personality who loved deeply. She has a welcoming spirit that would help anyone in need. That selfless love and along with her natural intelligence and smarts allowed her to excel in her nursing career. Destenii had a secret love and talent for arts and crafts, often making decorations for kid's birthday parties or designing homemade costumes. She loved her kids more than anything else in the world. She was a loyal friend who will be immensely missed by everyone that knew her. Destenii was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Trujillo, Brother Samuel Marcus Ayers, stepbrother John Kyle Ayers, Grandpa Michael Redstrom, Grandma Rita Leyba, and her Grandpa Arthur Trujillo. Destenii is survived by her mother Annette Ayers, stepdad Mark Ayers, stepbrother Mark Ayers Jr., sisters Kristyn Rae Trujillo and Heaven Leigh Trujillo, and brothers Earl Walter Ayers and Isaac Anthony Ayers.
