Dennis Chavez, was born in La Perra, NM, to Placido and Margarita Chavez. They moved to Tajique when he was a young boy. He went to school in Tajique and immediately went to work. He found so much peace in his beloved Monte and worked so hard to provide a beautiful life for his family. He made many friends who would come see him when they needed a tire changed or just a chat with a good friend.

He was a devout Catholic and former Mayordomo of San Antonio Catholic Church in Tajique.

He married the love of his life, Norma Chavez, and they built a beautiful life together. He had three daughters and two sons. He lived his whole life in his beloved Tajique.
