Ms. Antonia D Baca passed from this life Saturday morning, July 18, 2026, in Santa Fe Texas.

Born July 24, 1949, in Vaughn, New Mexico, Ms. Baca had been a resident of Santa Fe, Texas for the past 5 years. Antonia will be remembered for her loving heart, warm spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her. Throughout her life, Antonia found happiness in caring for others, whether through her work or the time she shared with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters Tracy (JW) Clements of Santa Fe, Texas and Margaret Huerta of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and her grandchildren Garrett and Kayla Clements of Santa Fe, Texas. Martin and Marcos Huerta of Edgewood, New Mexico. Brother David (Nora) Baca of Albuquerque, New Mexico. As well as her beloved chihuahua, Baby.

Antonia worked as a cook for El Comedor Restaurant for many years, serving the community, where she was known by all. She loved creating delicious meals and bringing people together around the table.

In her free time, Antonia enjoyed spending time on the computer, exploring new interests and staying connected with those she cared about. Above all, she treasured her family. Whether gathering for special occasions or enjoying simple moments together, Antonia's greatest joy came from being surrounded by the people she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Persone A. and Domitilia R. (Parraz) Baca; sisters, Rita Anaya, Maria Romero, Theresa Baca, Linda Horton; brother, Gabby Parraz. She is remembered by nieces and nephews; Tina, Brian, Joshua Baca, and Eli Horton whom she loved and raised as her own.

A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home in Hitchcock, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Moriarty New Mexico on August 29th at 10:00 AM. Following the Mass there will be a graveside burial service at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather for a meal at the parish hall following the graveside service.
