Annette Marie Dodge, (78) of Edgewood, NM went to be with the Lord August 27th 2024. Her loved ones surrounded her as she passed peacefully.
Annette’s remarkable life was a testament to the transformative power of faith, love, and perseverance.
She was born in Stamford Connecticut to her Italian immigrant father Alphonse Sicily and Italian-American mother Sabina. She grew up with her three sisters Carol, Josephine, and Susan, as well as multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was supported by family and community and often referred to her childhood as “idylic”.
Her journey took her to California, where she met and married her husband, Jay, raised two children Michael and Susanne, and pursued her passion for helping others as a Respiratory Therapist and establishing Hope House, a rehabilitation center for addicts, which still exists to this day.
Annette’s relocation to New Mexico in 1990 marked the beginning of a new chapter, as she and Jay opened Oven Fresh Bakery, a lifelong dream of Jay's, where they served the Cedar Crest community for several years. Annette, embarked on a career in Real Estate with Coldwell Banker Legacy, where she excelled. She was awarded many honors with her partner Bobbi Carrillo, as Top Agents in the East Mountains.
Annette attended and served at Valley View Christian Church, where she invited countless individuals to hear and receive the gospel message. She opened her heart and home to anyone in need. Her legacy of faith and love will continue to uplift and inspire many generations to come.
Annette lived a blessed life enjoying her career, family, and faith for over 30 years in the East Mountains. Her greatest joy was having her family close by and actively participating in their lives.
Annette is survived by her husband Chuck, her sister Susan (John), her son Michael (Lisa), daughter Susanne, her grandchildren, David (Allie), Sarah, Daniel (Jaclynn) and Joseph (Serena), and her three great grandchildren Renna, Nora, and Eizen.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, late husband Jay, sisters Carol and Josephine, and many other family members.
Graveside services will be held at Stanley Cemetery, on September 14th at 11am.
