In Loving Memory of Anne Snyder (Campbell)
May 26, 1953 – November 2, 2025
Anne Snyder (Campbell) passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, at the age of 72 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Born on May 26, 1953, in Watertown, South Dakota, Anne grew up in Albuquerque, where she graduated from Manzano High School in 1971 before heading to Flagstaff, Arizona, the following year. There she got married and began building both a family and a career rooted in caring for others. Anne earned her nursing degree from Northern Arizona University and spent over four decades doing what she loved most—helping people. She worked in labor and delivery for 21 years, and then worked in children’s mental health, before dedicating the final 15 years of her career to case management in children’s rehabilitation. Nursing wasn’t just her job; it was her calling. She was known for her empathy, warmth, and the way she could make anyone feel safe and cared for.More than anything, Anne loved being a mom. Her four children were her heart and soul. She opened her home countless times to family and friends in need—a spirit of kindness she carried throughout her life. One of her earliest examples of that generosity came as a young nurse in Flagstaff, when she offered her parents’ home to a stranded family after a car accident. That open-hearted gesture became a lifelong pattern of compassion.Anne was endlessly curious and creative. She loved music, sang beautifully, and played the flute and other instruments. In retirement, she even began learning the Celtic harp—a lifelong dream. She also loved art, painting, drawing, writing, jewelry-making, and exploring her spirituality. She adored the color pink, flowers, crystals, and anything sparkly or whimsical. New Mexico’s beauty and Southwest culture held a special place in her heart. She will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, her listening ear, and her ability to make everyone feel loved and accepted. She saw the good in people and loved deeply and without condition.Anne is survived by her mother, Maxine Campbell; her children Stephen (Rachel), Stephanie, Ammon, and daughter-in-law Brittany; her beloved grandchildren Coby, Aubrey, Kailey, Aaron, Delu, Camden, Braylon, and Landon; great grand daughter Loretta; her siblings Susan (Richard), Carol (Carl), and Mary (Bob); the father of her children, Lawrence Stephen Rice; and her loyal dog, Mindy. She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Campbell; brother, Brian Campbell; and son, Colin Rice.Anne’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved and those she helped. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace, surrounded by the same light and love she shared so freely in this life.
