Aaron Joseph Moore passed away unexpectedly one month after his 38th birthday on December 9, 2025 in Sacramento, California. He is survived by his mother, Donna Moore; his brothers Jacob Smith and Isaac Smith; and his sisters Abigail Smith and Ariel Smith.

Aaron graduated from Moriarty High School in May 2006. He immediately enlisted in the United States Army, serving as Infantry and Military Police on deployments to various war zones during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Upon graduation, he attended the University of New Mexico to pursue a degree in business as was fitting for his wittiness and endless search for knowledge. He recently earned his certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) from the Sacramento City Unified School District.

Aaron was a ray of light to those around him. He embraced every moment with a fun and free spirit and liked to live life on the edge. You would never catch him without his sunglasses and cool-guy tattoos. He could make anyone laugh and always maintained an impeccable sense of style. Aaron also liked being active. He took his little siblings on adventures any chance he got and enjoyed hobbies like writing rap songs and drawing. Above all, Aaron never failed to make a lasting impact on everyone around him and left a beautiful mark on the world. He loved his family very much and will always be loved dearly. His comforting presence will be cherished and deeply missed.

Aaron’s burial will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, January 15th, 2026 at 12:30 PM in honor of his service to his beloved country. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary, Moriarty, NM.
